Obituary

Viola Pearman Hill, daughter of the late Eleanor Miller and William Pearman, was born in Anne Arundel County. On March 15, 2012, Viola celebrated her 77th birthday and accepted a special invitation to join a heavenly party and started celebrating with Christ on March 23, 2012. Her Christian education began at Hall United Methodist Church. During her spiritual journey, she initiated and became a integral part of many church activities and organizations; MYF, Bennett Little Starlighters, Hall Youth Choir, Ushers, Midtones, Lay Leader and Speaker, United Methodist Women, Homecoming Committee, Senior Choir, Vacation Bible School Director, Sunday School Teacher, Good Samaritan Ministry and Conference Delegate. Viola prepared meals and served seniors in the Anne Arundel County are. She volunteered at Partners-In-Care, Telephone Reassurance, Prison Ministry, Angel Tree Program and many, many more organizations. Viola was Queen of The Fabulous Ebony Ladies, Red Hat Society. Viola's formal education began at Marley Neck Elementary and Wiley H. Bates High School School. She furthered her education by getting her L.P.N. certificate in nursing, before working at Crownsville State Hospital. Viola then received her Liaison Classroom Assistant Certificate and began working in the Anne Arundel County Public School System. She also worked part-time at Hutzler's Department Store and Anne Arundel County voter polls. During her life journey, Viola was never about self. She enjoyed many activities, some of which were ceramics, traveling, bowling, tennis, walking, family games, movies, preparing family meals and baking. she was known for always wearing a smile, especially under her stylish hats. Taking care of her grandchildren was her greatest joy. Leaving to cherish her memory; are four daughters and one son; Ramona Grey Reginald, Muriel Hill, Bernard Hill, III Sharone, Delphine Norris Jonathan, Iris Jones; five sisters and three brothers; Clara Pearman, Lillian Pearman-Riley, Shirley McGowan Charles, Alma Williams Odell, Linda White, Phillip Pearman Yvonne, Charles Pearman, Archie Pearman Cathy; eleven grandchildren; Warren Scurry, Monque Gray, Tatera Trexler, Ebony Bowser, Shernie Hill, Bernard Hill, IV, Jonathan Norris, Jr., Shanna Phelps, Kennisha McElroy, Gerard Norris, Adrian Jones, nine great-grandchildren; Andre, Anya, Rayvon, Jermaine, Dominque, Doninoe, Malia, Ashantee, and Morgan, adopted daughters;Sylvia Jones, Prathuang Noi Jefferson, Ophelia Brown-Harris, Ruth Darnell, and Barbara George; lifelong friends; Rebecca Turner, Bernard Hill, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
