Viola Charlotte Mdontgomery Gipson, daughter of the late James and Annie Lee Montgomery, was born September 20, 1926 in Davis Station, South Carolina. She departed this life on March 10, 2010 after a long term illness. Viola received her education in Clarendon County, South Carolina School System. She married the late Albertis gipson and later moved to Marylnd where she made South Baltimore her home. To manifest in walk with God, Viola jioned John Westley Methodist Church where she received spiritual blessings and membership. Vie, as she was affectionately known by others, was a friendly, loving and sweeet-spirited person who touched everybody's heart that met hr. To know Vie is to love her. She loved spending time with her family as well as playing BINGO! Mrs. Gipson is preceded in death by; two daughters, Estelle Montgomery and Julis Tucker; two sons, James Montgomery and Mitchell Tucker; two sisters, Sarah Harvin and Isabelle McFadden; and three grandchildren Lisa, De'metris and James. She leaves to cherish her legacy; five daughters, Gaynelle House, Matra Lee Mathews, Paulette Tucker, Eunice Tucker, Jeanette Taylor; son Clarence Gipson and son-in-law, Clift Georgia;a fifteen grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jeanette, Charmine, Veatrice, Raynard, Vernice, Michael, Angel, Cakeyda, Stacey, Leshelle, Latrice, Ciara, Michelle and Mikesha; twenty great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; three sisters, Jeanette Leak, Bernice Williams Melvin and Patricia Mellerson Thomas; cousins, Mary Mercer and Ruth Brunson; aunt Mary Montgomery; and a host of other relatives and friends.
