Viola Starks, the daughter of the late Ethan Starks and Maggie Hithon Starks, was born September 14, 1933 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. She departed her life on October 31, 2008 after a long illness. She receivrd her education in Fairfield County Public Schools. She worked for Johns Hopkins University for thirty-three years until she was diagnosed with Parkinsons. She was a very loving person. She was preceded in death by three sisters Ruth Starks, Willie Lee Miller and Florence Mae Washington and one brother Joseph Starks. She leaves to mourn; her daughteer, shana Starks; three grandchildren, DeSha L. Ivory, Curtis D. Chase Jr., and Trent W. Johnson Jr.; one special niece, Maggie Johnson and husband Larry Johnson whom she lived with for a number on years; one sister-in-law, Watta Starks Evans of Charlotte, N.C. and a host of nieces , nephews, great-niecess and great-nephews.
