Violet Pauline Brooks, beloved daughter of the late Jessie Susie Gunther Brooks and Nathaniel Y. Brooks, Sr., was born February 28, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was seventy-three years old when she departed this life. Violet was education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She was an honor student with amazing typing skills, shorthand and other administrative skills. Violet also took business courses at Morgan State College. She was employed for many years with the Baltimore City Municiipal Water Billing Department. Violet loved to read, travel and play tennis. It was never a surprise for Pat to drop over to her house and see Violet watching her favorite TV show, Wheel of Fortune. Violet leaves to cherish her memory; three sisters, Edith N. Brooks, Addie Goolesby and deceased Sylvia Brooks; three brothers, Nathaniel Sonnie Y. Brooks, Jr., James Buddy E. Brooks and Nathaniel Tag E. Smith; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Brooks and Eunice Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
