A Time To Be Born! VIOLET J. NORTON, daughter of the late Sidney and Violet Johnson, was born June 16, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland. A Time To Be Educated: Violet received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System. A Time To Work: Violet worked as secretary at the New Shiloh Baptist Church under ' the leadership of the late Dr. J. Timothy Boddie. She was employed at the Social Security Administration for thirty years. A Time To Love: She met and married the late Chester E. Norton on February 25, 1950. A Time To Serve God: Violet became a member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Whit W. Allen. As a dedicated Christian worker, she served willingly under Dr. Allen's pastorage. She continued her Christian service at New Shiloh, being led by the late Dr. J. Timothy Boddie and the present pastors, Dr. Harold A. Carter, Sr. and Dr. Harold A. Carter Jr. Violet loved to sing and served on Senior Choir #2, the Fellowship Choir and later the Comfort Choir. Her past time was traveling and fellowship with friends. A Time To Cherish Memories: Violet's other joy was her family. She was affectionately known to them as "Baby" and will ever remain a loving possession in their minds. She leaves to cherish that memory: her dear and devoted niece, Jeanne Baskerville; one sister, Ruth Totten; three nieces, Barbara Bruce (Charles), Wanda Lee (Alvin) and Pamela Henderson (Ken); one godchild, Rochelle "Ronnie" Godwin; one sister-in-law, Isabella Norton; and one brother-in-law, Henry McMickens (Iola); one uncle, Rev.
