On Saturday, August 29, 2009, God with his endless mercy and His in abundant grace, chose Virginia "Virgie" Diggs, to abide with Him in His eternal kingdom. Born December 22, 1926, to the late Lucretia Mills, Anthony Jerome Trusty and the late Freddick Mills of Baltimore, Maryland. Virginia received her education in the pulbic schools of Baltimore Maryland. Virginia, a devoted disciple of God attended several churches including Bethel A.M.E. Churches and correspnded with the 20th Century Bible Courses than became a mother of the Immanuel Temple A.M.E Churchs, under the leadership of Dr. Peggy Wall, Pastor. United in holy matrimony on January 10, 1945 to Carl Harlee Diggs from Lilesville Anson County, North Carolina; from their love came nine children. They resided at 1657 Darley Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland for over 55 years. Mama was preceded in death by her son, Carl Harlee Diggs, Jr. Virginia known as Mama, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmama and freind leaves to cherishher memory: her husband, Carl Harlee Diggs;daughter, caregiver, Caroln Lawson the late Ronald Lawson, Rosita Carpenter; sons, Eric DiggsDeniseand devoted son Anthony DiggsDenise, eighteen grandchildren, twenty two great- grandchildren and a host of other realtives and friends.
