Virginia George Smith exchanged her cross for a crown and fell asleep in Glory on Thursday, November 3, 2005. Virginia George Smith, the daughter of the late Daniel George and Annie Mae George was born February 28, 1941 in Florence County, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her sister, Frances George Butler. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Allen George and his wife Lavern, Dwayne George and his wife Sharron and Alvin George; one sister Clara Thompson; two brothers Major George and Nathan Hamilton, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
