IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vivian Ann
Kesler
July 2, 1944 – February 11, 2026
VIVIAN ANN KESLER daughter of the late Henry William Hough and Jessie Belle Hough, was born on July 2,1944 in Baltimore Maryland. On February 11, 2026 God in HIS Infinite Wisdom ceased the suffering of our Beloved Vivian and took her soul to be with Him for an eternal life of PEACE.
Vivian was affectionately known as Viv, Aunt Viv and Granny. She received her early education in Baltimore City Public School System. During her time in elementary school, she had a passion for gymnastics. Unfortunately, her dream was deferred. Despite not pursuing her passion she found herself watching the Olympics, especially the gymnastics performance. She went on to graduate from Frederick Douglas Senior High School.
Vivian professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She attended Second Baptist Church with her family. She was Baptized and became a member. Vivian worked as an In-Home-Aide for several years. She loved most of all the work she did with her brothers; Sylvester Hough (Bobby) (deceased) and William Hough (Dinky) (deceased): cleaning apartments and working on cars. She enjoyed volunteering with her niece Jeanette and sister Mary (deceased) at the New Shiloh Baptist Church with The King’s Daughters Ministry. She loved praying and feeding the homeless at Weinberg House and Resource Center at 620 Fallsway.
Vivian’s leisure time was often spent with her family. Jill often said their mother did not have five children she had nineteen children. Vivian treated her brothers and sister children as her own. She truly grasped the concept of being available for your siblings’ children. The Bible encourages us to lift each other, providing strength and encouragement in time of need being there for one another (1Thessalonians 5:11). She loved fishing, crabbing, cooking, crossword puzzles, going to the dollar store with her daughter Dara and spending time at the casinos: Horseshoe and Atlantic City. She mentioned she did not win as often as her sister Mary (deceased). Vivian mentioned when Mary won that meant she was a winner.” It would be remiss not to mention how much she enjoyed watching Wild Kingdom and Protecting the Wild. Vivian would say that she loved watching how animals bonded because animals get along better than some of the people she knew.
Vivian loved going to her niece Jessica house to get her hair done and to the shop to get her nails polish. Her great-grandson Marlo, Jr., took much pleasure in transporting her to tend to her essential beauty needs and medical appointments.
Vivian was proceeded in death by her loving husband James W Kesler II, two Grandsons Marlo King, Sr, Angelo Fitzgerald and one great granddaughter Angel King.
Vivian leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: Five precious children: Dara Hough- King, Jill Ann Kesler, James Kesler III, Jerome Kesler Sr and Walter Kesler-Reese (Terry). Nine sweet Grandchildren: Honorray King, Dominic King (Audrey), Kanisha Reese, James Kesler IV, Cierra Kesler, Kierra Kesler, Jerome Kesler Jr, Jaidin Kesler ,and Juleese Kesler, her darling brothers and sister children, one sister Vada McAfee, one sister-in-law Alberta Kesler, longtime friend Sadie Dickey, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews and cousins that was on this life journey with her.
