IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wade E.
Hatton, Jr.
May 23, 1936 – October 19, 2016
DEACON WADE EUGENE HA TT ON, JR., son of the late District Elder Wade Eugene, Sr. and Mother Lillie Mae Hatton was born on May 23, 1936 in Greenville, South Carolina. He peacefully slipped away, from labor to reward, on the morning of Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
At an early age, Wade, Jr. relocated along with his parents and siblings to Washington, DC. It was there he received his education. In 1952, the family moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he was employed by the Good Will Industries. Going to work each day was not a job, but a labor of love. Every day he would share his most cherished experiences with his family; along with all the items he brought home from his treasure hunts.
Deacon Wade Hatton, Jr. accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age as a member of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith under the pastorate of the late Bishop Kato Pierson. He continued his Christian walk, serving faithfully as an Ordained Deacon under his Father's Ministry at Faith Temple Bible Way Church. Deacon Hatton later became a member of Kingdom Seekers Deliverance Ministry under the leadership of his niece, Apostle Ernestine Brown and served there until his death.
Deacon Hatton was affectionately known as "JUNIOR." He loved to pray and sing. His favorite songs were "How Great Thou Art" and "I Wonder Do You Love The Lord Like I Do."
"JUNIOR" truly exemplified the words of our Lord Jesus in St. John 13:35 (KJV). "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." Without question, He loved people and people loved him everywhere he went.
Deacon Wade Hatton, Jr. was preceded in death by his loving parents; Wade Eugene, Sr. and Lillie Mae Hatton; sister, Grace L. Jackson and brother, William Olin Hatton.
He leaves to cherish his memory: stepmother, Estelle Hatton; two brothers, Clarence R. Hatton (Ernestine) and Dennis Hatton (Darlene); one sister, Gloria Evans (Lawrence); one brother-in-law, Charles Dupree; two sisters- in-law, Jeannette Hatton and Caroline Orange; one aunt, Lorene Ferguson of Detroit, Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
