Walter Howard Lee, Sr., son of the late Maxie Page Davis and Madge Lee Davis, was born on September 3,1943 in Durham, NC. He departed his life on Sunday, July 14, 2013. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Durham, NC at an early age. He received his education in Durham City Public School System where he graduated from Hillside High School. In 1970, he moved to Baltimore, MD where he met Corrine McCargo; they married in 1973. He worked in construction over forty years where he finally retired from Warwick Construction Co. He was a member of Meridian Lodge No. #4 for over twenty years and was also the Past Grand Patron of St. Mary's Grand Chapter. In his spare time he loved fishing and cooking for the Residents of The Benet House, where he resided. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Corrine Lee; seven children, Emily J. Lee of Durham, NC, James H. Lee (Linda), Walter H. Lee, Jr. (Nicole), Merlin E. Jackson (Theresa), Ronald L. Jackson, Marcella W. Joyner (Ellis) and Anthony E. Wing (Karen) all of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Maxie Davis (Diane) of Chesterfield, VA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
