Obituary

Walzatter McCallister Fisher, the youngest daughter of the late James Albert McCallister and Josephine Timmons McCallister was born March 28,1933 in Baltimore Maryland. After traveling life's journey for ninety-one years and after struggling with a lengthy illness she closed her eyes to take her eternal rest on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Walzetter was reared on Mosher Street in West Baltimore. She received her education in the Baltimore City School System and was a proud graduate from Carver Vocational-Technical High School She pursued a career in beauty culture and became a licensed Cosmetologist. Walzetter was led to the Lord by her father and baptized at an early age and attended several churches in the Baltimore area. She fell in love and married her husband Thomas Jefferson Fisher in 1958, and they had one daughter Chrystal Lynn Fisher. Wazetter was a strong independent black woman with a fisty personality. She was known as a hard and faithful worker. During her thirty-year career as a cosmetologist, she worked at Unique Beauty Salon, and the Hecht Company. Not being afraid of hard work, she worked for the Baltimore Sun Paper and the Youth Juvenile Home.

Walzetter AKA (Prince) was an out-spoken woman and did not hesitate to tell you what was on her mind. She knew how to ruffle your feathers, and that often resulted in lively and sparky conversations. (smile) However she had a warn heart for the elderly and enjoyed visiting the sick and shut-in. Walzetter's strength and faith in God helped her to handle the monumental challenges and struggles she endured in her life the tragic death of her only child Chrystal and debilitating illnesses. She loved dogs, cooking, traveling and hosting family gatherings which were the highlight of her life. Prince delighted in traveling with her daughter Chrystal and later her Grandson Chris. They traveled to many places including Spain, Alaska, Rome, Hawaii, and Mexico. Walzetter, loved bright colors and was always stylishly dressed. She was known to "Bling-Bling" in diamonds rings gold chains, silver and her long, fabulous mink coats.

She was preceded in death by her Daughter Chrystal Lynn Frisby, Sister Katie Brown, and Brothers Jimmy McCallister, Elijah McCallister, Albert McCallister, Larry Bass, and Goddaughter Anita Stewart. Walzetter leaves to cherish her memory her loving devoted Grandson Christopher Taylor; Sisters-in-law Bess Dr. McCallister and Laverne Bass: eight nephews, Darryl McCallister (Ruth) Glen S. McCallister, Rondel Chase, Jimmy McCallister (Natalie), Michael McCallister, Zackery McCallister (Tina) Leonard McCallister (Cythina), and Mario McCallister, five nieces; Debbie Y. House (Chris), Gayle Parker-Jones, Regina McCallister, Paula McCallister, Penny McCallister and Nicole Lee; faithful cousins Joyce Miales (Rudy), and Carl Timmons; Devoted lifelong Sister and BFF Lilly Trayham; special friends Alma Turner and Dawn Hatchette; And a Host of other dear cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
