Warner Hill
- born on January 24, 1945 to the late James Hill
and Joyce Lee (Woodard) Hill, took his last breath and made
the transition back to the Lord and Host of all Sources on
Friday, March 11, 2017. He was preceded in death by a sister,
Janet (Hill) Jenkins.
He leaves to mourn yet cherish the memories: two (2) sons -
Jamil Bernard Hill and Qabil Aaron Hill; seven (7) grandchil-
dren, all of Baltimore, MD; one (1) brother, James Hill, Jr. and
wife, Sheree Hill of Chicago, IL; three (3) nephews - Darrell
Warner Jenkins of Baltimore, MD and James Hill, 3rd and
Brian Hill, both of Chicago, IL; a special niece, Cynthia
Jenkins; one (1) brother-in-law, Donald Jenkins; five (5) aunts
- Helen (Hill) Davis of Buffalo, NY, Emily (Hill) Curbeam
and Roseanna (Wylie) Woodard and Joan Queen all of Balti-
more, MD and Dorothy (Woodard) Hopkins of Blairs, SC;
two (2) uncles - Glenn Woodard and Jesse Woodard both of
Blairs, SC. In addition to several great nieces and nephews and
a host of other family, friends and loved ones. Special mention
should be made of the members of the Lodge of Wisdom of
which he was their Grand Master and the Brethren of the
Masonic Fraternity.
He received his formal education in the Baltimore City Public
School System. He was a Master Carpenter. He was a Past
Master of Nubian Lodge and 32° Degree Mason in the Most
Worshipful Luxor Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. and Grand
Master of the Lodge of Wisdom.
He was known and called by a variety of names including, Mr.
Tonk, Mr. Pinochle, Mr. Monopoly and Mr. Scrabble. He was
well versed and knowledgeable in the fields of Religion,
Spirituality, the Fraternal Sciences and History. He read pro-
fusely and likewise he wrote extensively on these themes and
other germane areas. Having written over 60 plus Articles,
Treatise, Sermons and Lectures, etc., which comprises about
75-80 of the Lodge of Wisdom's Library.
