Warren ' EvereffSmifh, born October 27, 1952 to James E. Smith and the late Ruth A. Moye in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life suddenly on February 3, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
As a young man growing up on "The Hill" he enjoyed playing sports, hiking and playing army in the woods.
Warren received his education through the Baltimore City School Sys- tem, graduating from Edmondson High School.
He later joined the United States Army. During his tour of duty he was stationed in Georgia and Korea. He was also employed by Mr. Filberts, UPS and the State of Maryland Corrections Facility. Warren was also a founding member of Unity Strength Social Club.
From Warren's first marriage came his eldest son, Jason. In 1986 he married Iistar Poetry from which came his second son, Hassan. Warren and Iistar were married for thirty years and lived in Columbia, MD.
When Warren became disable he spent his time listening to music, watching TV and going outside taking in as much fresh air as he could.
Warren was always happy when he was visited by his family especially his granddaughters, Jayla and Jada. They made him smile from ear to ear.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Iistar Poetry Smith; sons, Jason M. Guess and Hassan T.A. Smith; daughter by marriage, Angel Saunders (Tracy) of Florida; father, James E. Smith; grandchildren, Jayla and Jada Guess and Jordon Saunders; brother, Edwin C. Moye; sisters, Valerie Smith, Karen Smith, Brenda Tilghman, Linda Cash, and Ruth Malic; sisters-in-law, Tiye Mulazim (Mutee), and Wanda Scott; brothers-in-law, Leon Scott (Carolyn), and Zakariyya Alim (Gayle); aunts, Rose Williams and Shirley Johnson; nieces, nephews and many more relatives and friends.
