Wayne Clinton Lyde, was born on April 15, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. He passed away on May 21, 2015 after a short illness. Wayne was the fifth child born to Willouis and Mary Ellen Lyde. As a young child with a kind heart, Wayne enjoyed the wilderness and nature. He was educated in the Baltimore Public School System, having attended Lincoln Elementary, Calverton Jr. High, and Gwynns Falls High School. Wayne also served in the military for a brief period. Wayne also had an opened door for those needing a place to stay. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Willouis and Mary. He is survived by his devoted partner, Rosa Wheeler. He leaves to continue his legacy: a son, Damon Lyde (Melanie) of Hope Mills, NC; two daughters, Demetria and Alisha (Nosha) of New Britain, CT; two stepdaughters, Sidonia (Tyrone) and Nettie; nine grandchildren, four brothers, Willouis (Laura) Lyde, Thomas Lyde, Vincent (Barbara) Lyde, and Collins Lyde; five sisters, Myra Lyde, Aqueelah Mateen, Mary Williams, Toya Lyde and Gayer (Donnell) Tomas and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
