Wellington Foster Rose, Jr., (known to family and friends
as Roadie) was born on September 29, 1946 in Baltimore,
Maryland to the late Wellington and Edna Rose. After a
lengthy illness he passed this life on Thursday,
October 25,2018, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was preceded
in death by his siblings, Gordon Rose, Rosalind Leak and
Jean Wetherspoon.

Roadie joined the Air Force after graduating from Douglas
Senior High School in 1964 where he served as an Air
Policeman until his discharge in 1968.

Roadie was employed as a supervisor in procurement, at
Bowie State University and retired on October 17, 2008 after
20 years of service. Roadie met and married his wife Diane in
1982 and they were blessed to have 36 years together prior
to his passing. He didn't go to church much, but he loved the
Lord and could often be heard praising God and
thanking Him for His kindness.

Roadie liked to have a good time and he loved music especially
Gospel and Rhythm & Blues. He enjoyed sports, especially
baseball and foot- ball. He also loved playing Pinochle and
going to the casinos.

Roadie leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Diane; one son,
Kevin; four grandchildren, Maegan, Monique, Kevin Jr. and Kellye;
one niece, Molly; several great and great-great nieces and
nephews, cousins and friends.
