September 6, 1938 – November 21, 2017
Wilbeck Francis Stewart
was born in Baltimore, Maryland,
one of four children to the late Herbert and Rachel Stewart. He
was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools and was a
proud graduate of Frederick Douglass High School. Following
graduation, he enlisted in the National Guard
Wilbeck, ("Stu") as he was affectionately called by friends, was
first employed at Montgomery Ward and Company as a
Warehouse Assistant. Thereafter, he was employed for many
years as a Spice Mixer at McCormick and Company, Hunt
Valley, MD. He retired in 1995.
Wilbeck was united in holy matrimony to the late Joyce Patricia
Smith. Their union was blessed with a son, Wilbeck Jr.
Wilbeck was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the
New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins. Wilbeck
delighted in attending family gatherings. He enjoyed attending
Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, P A., to see the various
Biblical productions. He also took pleasure in playing video
games and going on trips to the various casinos.
Those most profoundly deprived of his earthly presence include
son, Wilbeck Jr., daughter-in-law (Betty); daughter, Deborah
Pullen, son-in-law (Frank); six grandchildren; Harliee, Nhyla,
Carson, Carter, Brittany, Morgan; three great grandchildren;
Wilbeck III, Michael, Shonte, two sisters Gloria Carter, Barbara
Stewart; one brother, Robert Stewart; a host of nieces and
nephews, other relatives and special friends.
