Wilbert Lewis, III was born at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland on March 25, 1984, the son of Wilbert Lewis, Jr. and Leslie Lewis, He feel asleep in death on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Will III had a four year battle with cancer. In addition to his parents, Wilbert is survived by his grandparents: Wilbert Lewis, Sr., Patricia Lewis and Gloria Winder; his brother Stephen Lewis; his uncles: Jon Lewis, David Lewis, Larry Booth, Eric Winder, and Craig Winder; his aunts: Tracy Booth, Marcella Lewis, Robin Lewis, and Kim Winder; and his cousins: Ashely, Bryauhna, Cajonna, Cierra, Cynceray, Darius, Eryca, Linnea, Patrick, and Peyton. Wilbert attended Carver Vocational Technical High School in Baltimore city. Wilbert graduated from Carver in 2002 as a honor student. Wilbert was on a work study program with Ilex Construction and Woodworking construction firm. Wilbert was the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America local and state cabinet maker champion two years in a row. He competed at the national level twice in Kansas City. Wilbert worked on many projects to improve the quality of Carver Voc-Tech High School. Wilbert was a nursing student at Coppin University and Sojourner-Douglass College. The Wright family provided assistance with his advanced education and they were dear to his heart. Wilbert worked as a certified nursing assistant. Wilbert was an easy-going person and handled adversity with courage. Wilbert loved to travel. Wilbert had a passion for flying kites, roller skating, roller coasters, dancing, and cooking. He was dearly loved by his family, his friends, and all who knew him. Wilbert will be greatly missed.
