William Vernon Cephus, 73. passed away peacefully on April zs. 2025, at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, Maryland. He was a loving and honest person, who will be remembered and missed by many.
William was born on October 9, 1951 at Easton Memorial Hospital, in Easton, MD, to the late Alvin Cephus and the late Geraldine Blake Cephus. He was known for his warm smile, generosity, and being a straight shooter. Knowing God and the church very well. William dedicated his life to Christ on May 13,1965, at the Union Baptist Church, under the leadership then of Dr. William Reverly.
William attended Easton High School and worked in masonry. He also spent time working in horse racing, and helped train a famous horse named "Spectacular Bid", who won the Kentucky Derby in1979_William was very well respected in his personal and professional life.
William left the Eastern Shore for a change in scenery and moved to Baltimore where he would eventually meet the love of his life, Rhonda Page, and spend the rest of his days.
Itty Bitty, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was also called Unk, Uncle Bitty, the boat, and Honey Bunny. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him and his legacy will live on.
William leaves to mourn his life partner, Rhonda Page; one son, Michael Fassett (Dorine) of Chestertown, Maryland; two daughters. Tanya Nicholes of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and Taneeka Cornish of Salisbury, Maryland; two sisters, Betty Johnson of Aberdeen, Maryland; and Romaine Brummell of-Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother, Quentin Sherwood (Tonia) of Trappe, Maryland; one uncle. Charles Dean, Sr. of Easton, Maryland; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren. five nieces, five nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews, God sister, Rene Pierce of Easton, Maryland; two Goddaughters, Avis Henry of Seaford Delaware, and Shamika Bailey of Easton, Maryland. William also had three brothers who proceed in death, Eric Cephus. Alvin Blake, and Ronnie Blake.
