William Floyd Crudup, Sr. was born to the late Mollie and James Cruduop on March 17, 1944 in Nash county, North Carolina, one of ten children. They moved to Baltimore City in 1956 and he attended Baltimore City Public Schools. ZHe worked for the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks for numerous years. He met and married Vertia Evans in July 1978 and was a proud and loving father of ten children. He gave his life to Christ on October 6, 1991 at Grace Memorial Baptist Church. Floyd loved to fish. He was a member of the Eastside Rangers Hunting and Fishing Club. He departed this life on November 10, 2006 after a bout with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Vertia Crudup; ten children, Kim, Latanya, Floyd Jr., Brandon, Morgan, Brittani, Brain, Lashawn, Karen, and Zina; one stepson, Timothy; three godchildren, Antwine, Devon and Scipio; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ilease qwnd VL Funderburk, Dorothy and William Murdock, Cleoria and Pfrentice Vincent, and Louise Gray; one brother, Rudolph Crudup ; seventeen grandchildren including devoted granddaughter, Sharmanika Robinson who cared for him until his departure; a host of nieces, nephews and friends including special friend, Evelyn Taylor.
