William Fowlkes, son of the late William and Priscella Fowlkes, was born on Febuary 22, 1922 in the state of Virginia. On June 2, 2008, he went home to be with the Lord after a long term illness. After the completion of high school in 1940, he attended Loyola College and thereafter worked 30-plus years for the States of sdMaryland before retiring. He met and married his wife, Nelvina, whom he fondly loved and called Nel. William, also known as Mike and Pop-A-Doc especially to his four grandchildren Ricky, Tiarra, Michael and Monyea, enjoyed spending time with his family and also hanging out on the corners of Baltimore City with his friends. Although his smile and laughter will be missed, he will forever remain in our hearts. William was preceded in death by his brother, Cleve and sister, Hazel. He leaves behind to mourn, his wife of twenty-two years, Nelvina; one daughter An'd; one son, Rodney; four stepdaughters, Rhonda, Missy, Chris and Shawn; ten grandchildren,great-grandchildren, ahost of nieces and nephews, and friends.
