Obituary

William Thomas Hdarvey was born on October 21, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Florine McDonald Harvey and the late William Harvey. William received his early education in Toms river, New Jersey. He graduated from Toms Tiver South High School in 1967. He then wanted to further his educational experiences and dreams therefore he attended Shaw University. William Boo, as he was affectionately called, was a very fun and loving individual who always made good friends wherever his feet landed. Her enjoyed spendign and sharing times with his family nd friends. William would spend every hour he could win glen Burnie with his favorite aunts, Martha and Hilda and their families. Although he was soft spoken, he loved people and people loved him. Many hours were spent watching as well as playing basketball, football, horses and cards. William was considered to be a "Jack of all trades," for there was no job to big or small that he would not attempt to try. Even when it came down to bathing, clothing, combing and braiding the girls' hair, he was just as good as any woman. Annuually William, Bo and Ricky would meet to celebrate their birthdays. This was a tradition that he cherished and looked forward to. Prior to moving permanently to Maryland, William worked as a respiratory Therapist at Community Memorial Hospitsl in Toms River, New Jersey. Upon his return, William was employed with several major corporations such as; Coors Light, Nevamar Plastic Plant, Budweiser and Over Night Express. Before his untimely illness, William was employed by UPS Elkridgde, Maryland as a long distance driver. On Friday, February 11, 2011 at 12:05 p.m. at Genesis Nursing Center in Brooklyn Park, Marylnd, god in His Infinite Wisdom sent His angel of Mercy to gently call William from his earthly suffering to HHis realm of enternal peace. William leaves to cherish his precious memory; a wife, Audrey Harvey; two children, William and Marissa Harvey; four stepchildren, Marcella Gaskns, Jonathan Hayes, Donnie Brown and Makeshia Brown; twelve grandchildren; his loving mother, Florine Harvey; sister, Jackie; brother, Sheldon Awilda; nephew, Sheldon Elijah; six aunts, Martha Johnson, Hilda Dorsey, Doretha Snelling, Eleanor Worthy, Barbara Harvey and Mozelle Harvey; two uncles, Edward Harvey and Randolph Harvey. William also leaves his dedicated caretakers, Betty and James Bo Johnson; and a host of cousins and friends.
