William H. Berry, son the late George Berry and Mabel Matthews, was born October 4, 1921 in Washington, D.C. He departed this life on March 13, 2010 after a short illness. He was raised in the Catholic religion and received his education in the Baltimore Catholic School System. William was a diligent worker, and among other jobs he was employed at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. He retired in 1965. In 1941, he and the "love of his life," formerly Katie Norman were jioned in Holy Matrimony. Out of that union of love, eight children were born, Phillip, Leonard who preceded him in death, William, Roslyn, Linda, Pamela, Karen and Dale. William loved to travel and made numerous friends wherever he Went. He was well versed in many subjects and always shared his wisdom. He loved to tell jokes. He was always a true friend and devoted family man. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of sixty-eight years, Katie; two sons, Phillip Berry and William S. Berry; five daughters, Roslyn Logan, Linda Cook, Pamela Bwerry, Karen Watkins and dale Berry; daughter-in-law, Constance Berry; sister, Marhta Norris; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Mathews, Sarah Myrick and Dorothy Norman; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
