Obituary

William Gregory Holliday, also known as "Doc Holliday" son of the late Pastor Earl Jeremiah Mahammitt and Irene Mahammitt was born June 17, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. "Doc" suddenly de- parted from this life on September 11, 2014 after a lengthy illness. "Doc" received his education in Baltimore City graduating from Edmondson Senior High School in 1972 and continued his education at Bowie State College where he was a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha and of course played football. "Doc" loved football, after college "Doc" played semi-pro football with the Baltimore Eagles, the Frederick Fal- cons and also Chambersburg semi-pro, then played professionally with the USFL League for the New Jersey Generals. "Doc" made many accomplishments in his life. Doc worked as a Boil- ermaker until his illness. "Doc" was kind and loving and touched the lives of many he came in contact with. "Doc" met Wanda Whitehead at Edmondson Senior High and married her in 1986. "Doc" leaves to mourn: a loving wife, Wanda Holliday; 1 daughter, Tiffany Holliday; 2 grandchildren, Brian Holliday and Naya Holliday- Banks; mother-in-law, Sarah Whitehead; 4 brothers, Jerry Jr., Terry, Tony and Dwayne Mahammitt; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Kelley and Queenes- ter Christmas; 2 aunts, Mattie Mae White and Ellamae White; 2 uncles, James Green and Patrick Holliday; 6 brothers-in-law, Kerry, Barry, Jeffrey Whitehead, Brian Kelley, Richard Christmas and Herbert Felder;3 sisters-in-law, Lois Taylor, Veronica Whitehead and Lisa Maha- mmitt; 21 nieces and nephews, 15 great nieces and nephews; proceeded in death are Earl and Irene Mahammitt, father-in-law, Herman White- head, sisters, Matilda (Tina) Mahammitt and Idamae Felder, grandpar- ents, Spencer and Florence Holliday; 2 special devoted cousins, Dianne of Frederick, MD and Moochie of Delaware and a host of loved cousins, friends and family.
