Obituary

WILLIAM LEE MISTER, son of the late Grafton P. Mister and Essie Mister was born on December 26, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on August 22, 2016.

William attended Baltimore City public schools. He always had the desire to pursue his dreams, but frequent illness and life challenges became an obstacle in his life. William never stopped dreaming.

At birth, William was stricken with Sickle Cell Anemia Disease. He was diagnosed at the age of three years old. This disease was a battle for him but he became a pro at managing this disease. He drew his strength from this disease that crippled him, but gave him the power to fight. At an early age, he belonged to a support group for children with this disease. The family was told that he would not survive past ten years old. William was the last survivor in the group; so therefore, he was living proof that there is hope for individuals with this disease.

Ministers Darrell and Cheree Seward became William's long term friends. They welcomed him into their home where he was nurtured with the word and spirit of God. William and Cheree made a promise, "whomever got their mansion first will have a room in my home." He always called the residence in Harford County his home.

Preceding him in death are his brothers, Claude and Grafton Mister JI.; and grandchildren, Travis and Shavon.

William leaves to mourn: two sisters, Betty Carter and Elaise Coretta Mister; god sister, Minister Cheree Seward and godbrother, Minister Darrell Seward; children, William Conyers, Darryl Cox, Jerome Cox and Yvonne Tillman; grandchildren, Levy Conyers, Tiarira and Jason Robinson, Danielle, Brianna, Omar, Kyle, Trevon, Dayvon and Jaquan; godchildren, Danesha, Jeremiah and Amari; fifteen great-grandchildren; aunts, Elease Cooper and Loretta Conyers; three nieces, two nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
