William McKinley Phillips, of Greenville, North Carolina passed
away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 63.

He was the son of Ruth E. Phillips and the late Levon Phillips, Sr.
He was born on February 25, 1955, in Greenville, North Carolina.
He grew up as the second eldest of 6 siblings. He had two sisters
whom are Zanjala Murray and the late Tammy Phillips; three
brothers LeV'on Phillips, Jr., Jerry Phillips, and Arnie Phillips.

William, attended Lake Clifton High School and completed his
years and graduated in 1973. Throughout his work career he has
always been successful with holding positions as a mechanical
technician and custodial managerial positions.

William leaves behind two children and soon to arrive grandchild.
His daughter Shaquetta Phillips and his son William McKinley Phillips, Jr.
He will also be missed by 9 nieces whom are, Sheena Newkirk,
Da'Sha Newkirk, Michia Roane, Brittany Phillips, Amyra Vaughn,
Jada Smith, Shyy Richie; Diamond Cosby; Tylee Phillips; and 3 nephews
whom are Cory Robinson, Jeffrey Newkirk, Jr., and Darian Phillips.
William also leaves behind a host of great nieces, great nephews,
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

William McKinley Phillips, was a man who had a good heart and would
give his last before he see his family go without having. He was truly
loved genuinely by his family and many friends. William' most notable
trait was his distinct great sense of fashion for suits and hats. William
was a man who was strong and determined. He was capable of finding
solutions to any situations even when the situations seemed impossible
or if the odds was stacked against him. Most importantly, William had
such a great sense of humor, capable of bringing laughter to any
situation.

In honor of William McKinley Phillips, this memorial service is being
held to celebrate the life he lived during his stay here with his family
and friends. The family is grateful for the condolences, gifts, and
donations that are given.
