William Pittman, son of the late Margaret Pittman and Emmitt Pittman was born on October 2, 1932 in Halifax, North Carolina. He departed his life on April 5, 2014 after a sudden illness. William was afarmer in Enfield, North Carolina. He was a member at Saint Paul Baptist Church. He sang in a gospel group. He retired then moved to Newport, Virginia. He later moved to Baltimore, MD in 1979. William used to cook and clean for anyone who needed his help in Brentwood Apartments where he lived. He provided this service until he could no longer do it anymore. William later met his long time love Geraldine Minor in 2006. William leaves to mourn: his sister, Queen Esther Pettiwar; brother, Willie Pittman; nephew, Paul Lane and his wife, Erlinda D.
