WILLIAM PRYOR, affectionately known as "Bill" or "Billy", the son of the late Rollen and Annie Pryor, was born on September 9, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2013 after a long illness. William received his education at Carver Vocational Technical High School. He graduated in 1970. William worked at several places including, Edmondson High School cafeteria as a food preparer, Bon Secours Hospital as a security officer and for Ms. Desserts in the factory. He also worked in the school system for many years as a floor tech and part-time at Roots Lounge on Smallwood and Vine Streets for Ronnie Jackson, the owner, as a bouncer for the club on weekend and special parties. William always had a sweet and kind-hearted personality and love to sing oldie but goodie songs, especially the Temptations recordings, which was his, as well as, it was also the rest of his brother's favorite group. William's other favorite thing to do was to eat. Give him some slab bacon, fat back, homefries and eggs for breakfast and he will grin all over himself until dinner. Give him some pig feet, collard greens, candid sweets, potato salad and sauerkraut w/pigtails for dinner and you will have a friend for life; and he will sing the Temptation songs at your wedding. William enjoyed playing cards and watching sports, especially wrestling. To his family, he was just a spoiled cuddling teddy bear, who we loved very much. Even though William was one of eight siblings; third from the bottom and fifth from the top, he was always considered as Mother's baby. He enjoyed his sisters, Linda and Maxine stroking and rubbing his bald head, it seems to relax him when he was sick. William leaves to mourn: three children, William "WJ" Pryor, Jr., Rochelle Melissa Pryor and Nikki Pryor; six grandchildren, Elias William Pryor, Arianna Raven Pryor, Desiree Faith Lambert, La'Avia, Kelly and Ranaka. He also leaves to mourn: four sisters, Rosa Pryor-Trusty, Shirley Scott, Maxine Pryor and Linda Pryor; two brothers, Joe and Bernard Pryor (brother, Roland "MC" preceded him in death); fifteen nieces and nephews, Keith, Kelvin, Kathy, Karen, Cecilia, Rhonda, Sandra, Anthony, Joe Jr., Crystal Love, Ty, Wayne, Malita, Bernard Jr. and Dee-Dee; a sister-in-law, Marcia Pryor; two brothers-in-law, Shorty Trusty and Dennis Scott; a devoted friend and companion, Gloria Davis; cousins, Willie and Gloria Clary, William Jones, Kim Thomas, Maxine and Debbie Nelson; and a host of great-nieces and -nephews, other relatives and friends.
