William Reginald Barnes was born February 4, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Anthony Barnes Senior and Barbara Ann Barnes. He departed this life on February 12, 2025 after a brief illness.

Reggie graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. He continued his education at Frostburg State University, and at The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Science. He used his degree in science to gain employment as a Lab Research Technician at Ashburton Filtration Water Treatment Plant where he worked for several years.

Reggie loved research, politics and gaming; and if you know him, you would know that he always enjoyed a healthy debate. Reggie enjoyed baking delicious cookies and cakes. He also was an avid gamer, reader, and loved watching MSNBC news and Saturday Night Live "SNL".

Reggie never married nor did he have children, however he considered his nieces his own. Reggie and his MOM had a special bond where he enjoyed taking care of her and they enjoyed taking care of one another. He made numerous friends wherever he went and he will be forever missed by everyone.

He leaves to mourn: his mother, Mrs. Barbara Barnes; his sister, Mrs. Kisha Barnes-Hopson; his one and only brother-in-law, Sharrod "Rod" Hopson; his nieces, Lynia, Rashard and Shay; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
