IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William E.
Reid
July 31, 1938 – June 12, 2017
William Earl Reid
was born to the late Clay and Elizabeth Reid on July
31st 1938. He departed this life suddenly on Monday, June 12th 2017.
Earl received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System.
He then went on to receive his Commercial Drivers License. He always
dreamed of owning a trucking business. Earl was able to pursue his dream
and became an owner operator of his very own trucking business for
several years. He was very proud of fulfilling his dream with the help of
the Lord. In his later years he joined Baltimore City and retired in 2003.
After Earl retired he founded a Transportation Service. He was so proud
God blessed him with this business he decided to put on the windows of
the transportation vehicle, "Worthy is the Lamb Transportation".
Earl accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age.
He was led to join in fellowship with the Haven of Rest Sanctuary of
Praise Church under the leadership of Apostle Dena S. Jobes. Earl's praise
and worship inspired all those around him. The word was truly a lamp
unto his feet and a light unto his path. He valued true revelation from the
word of God.
On November 22nd 1997, Earl was united in Holy Matrimony to Ethel
Johnson. This was a union that lasted 19 years. Earl was dedicated to and
worked hard to provide for his family. Earl loved his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Ethel M. Reid; 5
wonderful children, Domonic Reid, Emmanuel Dawkins (Latasha), Ricky
Pierce (Kymme), Michelle Skinner (James), Buffy Freeland (Damon); 1
uncle, Johnny Saunders; 2 aunts, Lula Mae Saunders and Margaret Ham-
lett; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and
friends. Earl was preceded in death by 3 children, Cheryl Anne Reid,
Sonia Reid, and Dione Biggs.
