Obituary

WILLIAM H. STEWART JR. was born November 10, 1929 and departed this life on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. William was the son of the late William H. Stewart Sr. and Hilda Mason. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He graduated from Douglass Senior High School in 1948. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served from 1949-1951. Later in life, he worked for Revere Copper and Brass and General Electric from which he retired. William was affectionately known as Jazz, Moon and Boo. Cooking was a passion of his. He loved to cook and his favorite dishes were crab cakes, fried crabs and homemade sweet potato pies. William was very well known in his neighborhood and enjoyed conversations with his neighbors. He also loved to walk. He later met and married the late Idessa Ida Rogers who preceded him in death. Out of this union were seven children. He leaves to mourn: his daughters, Fabra M. Stewart Jones (Tiny), Sharon R. Johnson (Nay), Stephanie Stewart andCharisse D. Stewart (Reese); son, William G. Stewart (Gerard) (two children preceded him in death, Darryl L. Stewart and Myra P. Stewart); ten grandchildren, twenty- one great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a host of very devoted nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Viewing Joseph H.
