WILLIAM HENRY WASHINGTON, son of the late Robert
and Josephine Washington, was born on April 18, 1926 in
Northumberland County, Virginia. He departed this life on March
2, 2016 after a lengthy illness.

He received his education in Northumberland County, Virginia.
He served in the United States Army from December 20, 1944 to
August 4, 1946. He worked for the Baltimore City Water Dept.
until his retired. He was a member of Christian Memorial Church.

He married the late Laura A. Washington and from this union
thirteen children were born; nine daughters and four sons. Three of
his daughters, Maude 1. Lewis, Victoria A. Washington and Gloria
D. Washington, preceded him in death.

He married the former Annie Frances Price.

William made numerous friends wherever he went and will be
sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.

He leaves to mourn; his wife, Annie F. Washington; his daughter
and sons, Beatrice A. Jenkins of Cleveland, Ohio, Peggy Dorothy
E. Eaton of Baltimore, Maryland, Joyce M. Carroll of Baltimore,
Maryland, Nannie Bertina Nicholson of Littleton, North Carolina,
William H. Washington, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, Barbara A.
Finch of Severn, Maryland, Joseph J. Washington of Baltimore,
Maryland, Robert A. Washington of Baltimore, Maryland, Bernard
E. Washington of Baltimore, Maryland, and Laura "Cookie" R.
Washington of Baltimore, Maryland. He also leaves twenty-five
grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-five great-
great-grandchildren. He leaves his brother, Lloyd Jessup; sister,
Louise Jessup; four sons-in-law and a host of other relatives and
friends.
