IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William F.
Wheeler, Jr.
December 23, 1947 – May 14, 2018
May

2018, started like any ordinary day. The sun was shining,
the birds were singing even the trees lifted their branches up to
give praises to our God, then we got the news that our own
Pastor William Fletcher Wheeler, Jr. had transitioned to the other
side. God sent His angels to escort him into His presence. Even with
his last breath, Pastor Wheeler was telling everyone around his
bedside and to those that heard him while passing by his room,
"To make it right with Jesus or they will burst hell wide opened and
burn
forever
",
while still giving God the glory. This man of God,
who was chosen by God
,
was always warning everyone to get right
with God before it's too late. Now he is glowing, a heavenly glow,
Willie can see all the things he had been preaching about for years.
Just imagine Pastor Wheeler walking and running unassisted down
through the heavenly square, in the streets of gold, singing and giving
praises to the Almighty Godfor all of the things He brought him through
for 70 years.
Where did this servant of God begin? On December
23, 1947,
at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore
,
Maryland, his parents
William Wheeler, Sr. and Edna Wheeler anxiously awaited his
arrival knowing that there was something special about their
child He was blind with the natural eyes, but his spiritual eyes
were a gift from God and it was alright. Willie was very
active day and night. He became the champion on the school
wrestling team in his weight group. He was musically inclined
He taught himself to play the guitar, piano, organ, accordion,
harmonica and other instruments. Willie lived in the
Anna Mae Hunt Home for the Blind in Baltimore, Maryland where
he learned life skills. Then to Blind Industry Service of Maryland (BISM),
where he continued to grow
,
learn and was employed where he served
over 40 years. Pastor Wheeler began preaching at the age of
14.
He tried to ignore the voice, but thank God for Bishop J. K. Sidney,
who explained to Pastor Wheeler that it was the voice of God speaking
to him. Pastor Wheeler obeyed With his very last breath, he finished the
race that was set before him. In the 70s, he met Rosie B. Mundell whom
he dated and fell in love. On September
29, 1973,
she became
Mrs. William Fletcher Wheeler, Jr., who remained by his side for
44
years
and nine months, up until he took his very last breath.
With his God given talent and love for God, he used them to the fullest
wherever he was asked to preach, he would go.
