Williamener Brunson was the fourth child born to the late Isaiah and Eva Mack Brunson on December 13, 1926 in Manning, South Carolina. She passed from this life at her home peacefully on Sunday morning January 7, 2007. She was 80 years of age. Her son, Willie Lee brunson, and teo brothers, Robert Brunson and Albertus Brunson preceded her in death. She was educated in Manning, South Carolina and a member of the Bethel AME Church. In 1958, she moved her family to Baltimore, Maryland. Here she used her talent for cooking and sewing to support those who were entrusted to her. Many of her family and friends are recipients of her legendary coconut pies, fried chicken, gowns, wedding dresses, and baptismal garments. Williamener also had a passion for bowling and was very proud of her 1st. place bowling trophy. Williamener loved her family, especially the children and was always available to care for grand nieces and nephews. Most of all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She rose above many challenges to care for her handicapped daughter Rosa Bell and was very helpful in raising her young grandsons Arnay, Tanon, Dorian, and Justin. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Rosa Bell Brunson; her grandsons, Arnay Dunson, Tanon, Dorian, and Justin Brunson; her two sisters, Lucille Tyler and Ida Mae David; one brother, Harrison Brunson; one brother-in-law, Calvin Tyler, two sister-in-law, Bernice Brunson and Sadie Brunson a daughter-in-law Fawn Brunson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
