Obituary

WILLIE CLARK, JR., eldest son of Willie Clark, Sr. and Mabel (Dukes) Clark, was born July 13, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland. His siblings preceded him in death: Frederick Clark, Jessie Clark, Marie (Clark) Johnson and George Clark. Willie, also known as Vouge and June Bug, and his siblings grew up in South Baltimore and attended Baltimore City Public Schools. He began working at an early age at a furniture company. Later, he was employed at Revere, Brass & Copper Company. Then he became an Insurance agent for the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. Finally, he was employed as a Supervisor at the National Security Agency at Fort Meade until retirement in 1995. Willie married Betty Gillard, and out of this union three children were born: William Clark, Donna Stamper, and Joanne Harris (his two sons-in-law preceded him in death, Allen Stamper, Sr. and John W. Harris). He loved and played sports with his childhood friends. He loved jazz music and had a great love for reading books and, of course, daily newspapers. Willie leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Betty; son, William; daughters, Donna and Joanne; three grandchildren, Tierra Clark, Lori Stamper and Allen Stamper, Sr; one great-grandchild, Dorian Green; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Johnson, William Gillard and Thomas Gillard; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Anne Gillard and Ann Jackson; daughter-in-law, Karen Clark; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
