IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Willie Mack
Dixon
August 13, 1955 – October 14, 2025
Willie Mack Dixon , age 70, born in Greenville North Carolina, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Willie was a remarkable and well-known plumber whose hard work and dedication touched countless lives in his community. Self-employed for over 20 years, he took great pride in his craft and rarely slowed down, working tirelessly up until the time he became ill.
Born to the late Hubert Dixon Sr. and Mary Williams Dixon, Willie grew up in Pitt County, North Carolina, where he completed his schooling. He served his country in the Army before moving to Baltimore, Maryland, to begin his career and adult life.
Although his favorite thing to do was work and make money, his greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren. Willie was a true character — a jokester with a big heart who could always bring a smile to your face. He was known for his long winding stories that made everyone laugh because he never quite got to the point. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Western TV shows and savoring a good home-cooked meal.
He was a devote, loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed immensely. Willie was preceded in death by one sister Betty Gean Harris, and three brothers ,Linwood, James, and John Dixon.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory seven children William, Tukyan, Cory, Cornelius, Jaequetta, Shavona, and Shavone Dixon .One Step son Joesph Smith, and two daughter in laws Angela and Tammy Dixon.Willie is also survived by four siblings Hubert Dixon of Greenville North Carolina , Phillip Dixon of Greenville North Carolina Ricky Dixon of Baltimore Md, and Carolyn Applewhite of Rocky Mountain North Carolina. Thirteen grandchildren Bre'ara, Mia, Tyiana,Lashay, Corresha, Tykuan Jr, Sierra, Amijae, Kashmier,Khamira, Tyrine, Kenadie, Khody, Aiden, Tali, Nasir, and Chance. He had seventeen gteat-grandchildren, several grandchildren in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his loving companion Kimberly Backhaus whom he shared years with.
Willie's legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will live on through his family and the many people fortunate enough to have known him.
