Obituary

Willie Andrew Marshall affectionately known as 'Sleepy' was the son of the late Evelyn Marshall Miller. Willie was raised by the late Gabe and Fannie Marshall as if he were their son, not a grandson, along with his aunts and uncles as if he were their brother. He was known by his family as Boy Baby, later friends dubbed him as Sleepy Jones. In early life Boy Baby grew up in Bucksport, South Carolina, and attended Whittey Moore High School, coming from the south, you know he worked in the tobacco fields. He decided to journey up north to Baltimore in the very early 60's. Coming from a working background he sought employment almost as soon as he came to Baltimore, he gained employment at the Coca Cola Company and then the Arundel Quary until he retired. 'Sleepy' enjoyed and loved his family very much, especially his sister/aunt, Fannie Mae, whom he saw on a daily basis. He loved playing cards, and was a soulful DJ in his own right with his oldies but goodies. He also was a great dancer. Even though he left the south many years ago, he remained close friends with James Riley Frazier, they talked often. Boy Baby/Sleepy came from a very large family, aside from his loving grandparents, Gabe and Fannie, mother Evelyn Marshall Miller, who preceded him in death, Gabe Jr., Jeff, James Wendell, Haywood, Jr. and Robert Marshall, all whom also preceded him in death. Lucy Bowman, Flora Frazier, Fannie Samuel, who also has gone before him. He lives to mourn his loss his devoted daughter, Tina, son-in-law, Tony, grandchildren, Chamia, Tichina, Tony, Jr. and Dontae from Hampton, Virginia. Sisters/Aunts, Viola Kearson, Rose Winfield, Alreatha McCray, Willie Albertha Marrow also his uncle/brother, Rufus Marhsall. Sisters Jeanette Johnson, Margaret Scott and brother John Miller Francis, his sister-in-law. We must not forget his special cousin, friend and care giver, Dawn Samuel, special cousin, Bernard Davis, special godson, Tony Regina and special friend Theresa. A host of relatives and friends who will miss him.
