He had plenty of cousins to play and havefunwith. He enjoyed being outside and loved nature. At an early age he discovered his talent for working with his hands and working with tools. He built many items from scratch. One could easily say he was one to tinker. He worked meticulously to plan and sketch his projects. He accurately measured partstocreate his latest inspiration or contraption. He liked working by himself and taking the time to perfect things.

He attended Lincoln High SchoolinSumter. Willie moved to Maryland, and worked for General Motors and CSX railroad from which he retired in 2000.

He was a machinist who owed many tools and taught himself to build CB radio antennas which he sold. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid motorcycle rider who loved going for long "bike" cruises. His CB friends gave him the nickname "Bad Whiskey". He enjoyed listening to saxophonist Kenny G. He was a great cook and his specialties were pig tails and sauerkrautand a "mean" seafood salad. Upon retirement he enjoyed a monthly breakfast with his CSX buddies. He also had more time to tinker, create, laugh and tend to his beloved dogs whichhe loved. As an adult Willie was baptized by Pastor O.T. Jones and was amember of Highway Baptist Church and Ministries. He was precededindeath by his parents.
