Obituary


WILLIE FRANK ELLERBEE SR., son of the late Ethel and Jessie
Ellerbee, was born on September 5th, 1936 in Maxton, North
Carolina. Willie departed this life on April 7th, 2016 at his home in
Baltimore, Maryland.

Willie affectionately known as "Pank" was one of eleven children, his sister Jessie
Belle preceded him in death. Pank received his early education in the North
Carolina Public School System. Being an avid adventurer, Pank moved to
Baltimore, Maryland at an early age. He was employed as a construction foreman
and supervisor for over fifty years and retired from Whiting - Turner Construction
Company. While in North Carolina Pank married Lillie Mae Ellerbee and three
children were born from this union. His eldest son, Willie Frank Ellerbee Jr.
preceded him in death. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland Pank met and
married Annie Williams and six children were born from this union.

Pank loved listening to music, especially oldies and blues. He also enjoyed hunting
and fishing. Pank loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them on
holidays and family gatherings. Pank touched the lives of many people with his
smile, generosity, and sense of humor until he took his last breath. Family and
friends were blessed to know him. Pank dearly loved and was very proud of his
family. He will be greatly missed.

Pank leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of fifty plus years Annie Ellerbee,
his children Michael Ellerbee (pamela), Delores Bethea(Larry) both of North
Carolina, Willie Ellerbee, Daniel Ellerbee Sr. (Bridget), Joe Ellerbee Sr., Tommie
Ellerbee (Gina), Francine Ellerbee, all from Maryand, Bob Ellerbee (Stella) of
Georgia, his loving siblings Henry Ellerbee (Barbara), Mary Clark, Christine
Williams, Ethel McNutt all from North Carolina, James Ellerbee (Mary), Walter
Ellerbee 0 eanette) of Illinois and Daisy Talton (Iimrny) of New York. Pank also
leaves to honor his legacy, a host of grand, great grand, and great great
grandchildren, a special aunt Viola Grahm, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and
