Son of the late Elmer and Julia Thomas through adoption, was born February 1, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia. Willie was blessed into the eternal rest on April 9, 2015 after a lengthy illness. He received his education through the Baltimore City Public School System. He furthered pursued his education at Y.R.C Freight in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. For 20 years, he became and maintained employed through Equity Management obtaining an occupation of maintenance. Billy/Will was a very hardworking man. He had a deep passion for love and strengthening the tides of kinship (family). He was very family oriented and always willing to help all who was in need. He made numerous friends wherever he went and surrounded his self around his children and all of those he kept closest to his heart. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Through the union with Joyce Walton, he leaves to mourn Michelle Joyner, four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Also, through the union with the belated Mary Boston, he leaves to cherish his memory; Chilethia Joyner, Tankea Joyner, Dominique Joyner, Willie Joyner Jr., Natisha McKoy, David Brown, and one son-in- law Terrill McKoy, eight grandchildren; Tajuanisha, Saliyah, Damontae, Shai, Breon, Ka'Mary, Zyaiah- Terrill, and David Jr. Through a previous relationship, he also leaves William and Willie Joyner. Lastly, his brother-like associates Cecil Jeter and Walter Hurt. Along with a host of family and friends.
