Obituary

Wyatt Victor Champ, son of Shirley Goodwin (Champ) and Leslie Champ (deceased), was born December 23, 1955 in Fort Meade, Maryland. Wyatt was the eldest of five children. He met and married Honey Watkins in Baltimore, Maryland, January 19, 1980. Wyatt leaves his three children Diablo, Donzella and Serea Champ. He departed this life suddenly on May 5, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland. Wyatt received his education through the Baltimore City Public School System and recently achieved his CDL license in Springfield, Missouri. He attended the Broadcast Institute of Maryland. After graduating, he became a volunteer broadcaster at the Veterans Hospital. Wyatt was very resourceful. He was innovative, creative and easily able to obtain employment with little to no effort. He was currently employed with Prime Inc. as a long distance tractor trailer driver. Wyatt traveled extensively through this job, creating memories along the way. Wyatt was a son, father, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, husband and professional grandfather. He worked as a road brakeman for the B & 0 Railroad. He was a salesman, office manager, school bus driver, limousine driver, security guard and den father; but foremost, he was a genuinely warm, loving and compassionate human being, a true child of God. Wyatt thoroughly enjoyed his life by doing everything he wanted to do. He was full of laughter, loving a good joke and usually the one behind the prank. He appreciated a good card game and his mama's food. He touched the life of everyone who came in his presence, making new friends wherever he went. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted mother, Shirley Goodwin (Champ); one uncle, Moses Goodwin and one aunt, Daisy Lee Goodwin; his brother Tony, his sister Robbin, his brother Steven and his sister Suzette; a very special friend Vernetta; his son Diablo, daughters Donzella (& Sidney) and Serea; grandchildren Damion Jr., Taylor, Kesye, Ayanti, Kensington, Sidney Jr., Cadence, Grayson, Bryiel, Noah, Kristian and Kamden; nieces and nephews Dominic, Derrick, Kimberly, Kellie, Kylinda, Gary, Sheena and Brooke; a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends.
