Obituary

Yancy J. Woodland, son of Mr. Jerome and Mrs. Thelma I. Woodland-Moore, was born on September 16, 1959 in Limestone, Maine. He departed this life on October 19, 2012 after a brief illness. Yancy received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. He recently grad from the North America trade School, with a certification and license in Air Conditioning and Plumbing. Yancy, also had several certifications in auto mechanics, body and fender work, and car detailing. Yancy was known for his creativity and took pride in all of his special projects. Among his many interest, he loved music, smooth jazz, home improvement, cooking, and working on cars. Yancy was known as the neighborhood fix it man, or just a great helper to those in need. He loved family activities, going to the beach, and sports. Yancy had a love for life and those who knew him, loved being in his company. Yancy had a sweet spirit that remained to the day he went home to be with the Lord. He leaves to mourn; his mother, father, a loving step-father, Wallace Moore; his daughters, Tiffany and Serite Woodland; four granddaughters, Terria, Milan, Kalaya, and Dee - Dee; two sisters, Belinda Woodland - Davis and Simone Woodland - Copney; one brother, Rodney C. Woodland; two siblings that preceded him in death, De'Shane and Dennis Woodland; his devoted finance', Linda Hightower, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins uncles, great-aunts and other relatives and friends.
