Yolanda Yvonne Moody (Lan) was born on December 19, 1958 in
Baltimore, Maryland. She was one of four children born to the late
Frank Townes and surviving mother Doris Moody. On June 4,2017, God called His child Yolanda from labor to reward.

Yolanda received her education in the Baltimore City Public School
System and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in
1977. She enrolled in Coppin State College and received her AA
Degree in Physical Education. After her time at Coppin, Yolanda
enlisted in the United States Army were she became a Marksman,
and received an Honorable Discharge.

Yolanda worked at Navistar International Trucking Company for many years. She later became employed at Anne Arundel County
Public Schools until her death.

Yolanda was a fun loving person, who loved to read, do puzzles and
collect antiques. She loved shopping in the thrift stores where she would find the best bargins, her therapy as she would say. Yolanda's love was for children. She loved her grandchildren along with children at Park Elementary School where she was employed. She loved working with the children as they called her Grandma or CT.

Three siblings, Dwayne Moody, Roxane Ryles and Denise Moody
preceded her in death.

Yolanda leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Tiffany S. Henderson (Cornelius), Krystal Y. Moody; three loving granddaughters, Kayla, Kaiya and Kamya; mother, Doris Moody; one brother, Jerome Wade; five aunts, Mabel Westley, Barbara Jackson, Audrey Moody, Deborah Thompson, Audrey Royster; one uncle, Stanley Moody and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
