Yul De Hawks, son of Perry David Hawks and the late Lola Trezzavant Hawks, was born on February 24, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life on December 29, 2010 after a legthy illness. Yul received his education at St. Francis Senior High Academy in Baltimore, Maryland and completed a year at Morgan State University. He worked with his father for many years as an automobile mechanic. Yul was also very talented in all areas of home improvement from roofing to plumbing. At an early age, Yul jioned St. Ambrose Catholic Church where he served as as altar boy. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing basketball, chess, and watching television. Yul was a devoted father to his only child, Shikia B. Hawks. He was always a dedicated son, brother, uncle, and a true friend. Yul had numerous friends wherever he went will be sincerely missed by erveryone who knew him. During his illness, his nephew Domanic Satchell and special clostest friend were devoted supports. Yul was known as the Tutor to all his nieces and nephews. He could be found sitting at the table helping each one with their home assignment. Yul also had a special relationship with his stepmother's sisters and brothers. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Larry S. Trezzavant and Derick Hawks. Cherishing his fondest memory are; one daughter, Shikia B, Hawks; his father, Perry D, Hawks; his stepmother Inez D. Hawks; two brothers, Henry Edney Los Angles, California and Norman C. Hawks Baltimore, Maryland; one sister, Deverior L. Nolan Baltimore, Manyland; two stepsisters, Mary Dixon Baltimore, Maryland and Renae Coleman Baltimore, Maryland; one great-aunt, Daphene Perry Baltimore, Maryland; two aunts, Alice Birchead Blackstone, Virginia and Helen Hawks Mirmar, Florida; nieces nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
