Yvette Ortiz, also known as Lisa was born to Maria and Juan Ortiz on November 4, 1968 in Fordham Hospital in New York. She was the youngest of three children. She attended Jane Adams vocational High School and later met the father of her children, Walter Spears and relocated to Baltimore, Maryland. In Baltimore, she gained many extended family members and gave birth to two daughters, Maria and Shekia. While a resident of Baltimore, She was employed by the City working for Druid Hill Parks and Recreation and later, Loyola College. Many say that Yvette never met a stranger; she exhibited love for everyone she encountered. Yvette, also known as Lisa, was a loving, beautiful person who leaves to mourn; her mother, Maria; grandmother, Aurora; daughters, Maria and Shekia; grandchildren Tykeas and Cortez; brothers, Ruben and Edgar; and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
