Zambia Anika McLean "Muffin', beautiful beloved daughter
of the late Deborah Matthews and Bernard Nelson, was born October
15, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland. Though she was an angel she was
granted her wings on the 6th day of March 2017.
Muffin received her formal education through the Baltimore City Public
School System. Muffin knew the Lord as she accepted Jesus Christ as
her personal Savior. Muffin was employed for several different security
companies until she became a bartender, which became something
that she loved and enjoyed. Muffin was a well-known bartender at
Lason's Bar & Grill where her co-workers and daily customers became
her family.
Muffin loved life and lived each and every day to the fullest. Although
she had many passions, her greatest passion was spending time with
her family and friends and making sure that they were always having a
great time. Muffin was the life of every party, mostly thrown by herself.
She enjoyed music, cooking and being creative with her cooking.
Muffin who was friendly, sassy and generous all in one. She made
friends where ever she went. She had a huge electrifying personality
that caused everyone who knew her to love her. She inspired and
touched the lives of numerous people. Throughout her illness, she
demonstrated strength all the way up until her last breath. She desired
nothing more than to give love and show everyone a good time as she
enjoyed life.
Muffin was preceded in death by her loving mother, Deborah
Matthews and Theodosia Silver; father, Bernard Nelson; sisters,
Markita Nelson and Tammy Noble.
Muffin leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughters, Myeisha
Walker and Monisha Grayson; son, Marquise Owens; sisters, Marsha,
Christine, Nirobia, Wanda and Saadia; brothers, Toledo and Walter;
grandchildren, Myron Mykhai and Nitae; goddaughter, Brenda; godson,
Darius; nieces, Jasmine, Shannon, Jamira, D'Asia, Ryne and Nicole;
nephews, Jamal, Lamal, James, Michael, Derrick, Mekhi, William, Tavon,
Joseph, Walter, Joshua, and Kevin; a special'father'Walter Noble; her
co-workers which were like her extended family; a host of cousins,
aunts and uncles, special loved ones, Ellen, Donte, Kenneth, Tiffany and
Keina.
