Zorita White, daughter of the late Alice White and Leroy White, Sr., was born on November 3, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life at home on May 31, 2012. Rita, as she was fondly called, attended the Baltimore Public School System. She graduated from Southwestern Senior High School in June of 1978. Later, she attended the Community College of Baltimore. Rita had several jobs. She was employed at Federal Hill Nursing Home for over eight years. Later, she worked at John Hopkins applied Physics Laboratory for approximately eight years, until her health failed. Rita had a passion for cooking, trying out new recipes and tasting different foods. Rita was well-liked by everyone who knew her. She was definitely a "people person." She will sorely missed. She leaves to cherish her memory; four sisters, Esther Hines, Lee Ann White, Phrefiniece White and Debra White; one brother, Reginald White; one adopted sister, Hilda Haywood; one sister-in-law, Lucy White; two brother-in-law, Miguel Hines and Daniel Haywood; a devoted friend, LaGerald "Jerri" Sedgwick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
