Lucille and John Garnett, she departed on May 30, 2022.
Bonita Garnett was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 3,1980, b
Bonita was educated in the Baltimore City school system, a graduate el Samuel
Gompers High School.
Bonita worked in the day care provider field for over 30 years. She was a
certified Patient Care Technician and had various positions at various Healthcare
organizations such as Genesis Healthcare, Kernan, St. Agnes and Harbor
Hospitals; and was a foster care provider before her illness.
She was our Saint, (St. Bonita /St. Bonnie) she accepted Jesus into her
life at an early age and endured unto her end. She was a sweet, loving, kind al
around good person. Our Saint, that was carried off in the loving arms of the Lord
In the early 70's Bonita joined and was baptized at Mount Moriah Baptist Church
under the leadership of the late Pastor Jessie Boykin and the late Arthur J. Benn
She served as a member of the Junior Missionary, and she sang on the Benn
Chorale Ensemble Choir
In the early 90's she joined Full Gospel Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ (Inner
Court Ministries) under the leadership of Bishop Jonathan Wallace Sr., she was a
faithful member and served on the usher board.
In 2017 Bonita joined New Covenant Life Ministry under the leadership of Bishop
Randolph dams and Overseer Tanya Adams she was baptized once again in the
name of Jesus Christ in February of 2019.
Bonita was loved by her church family. Always helping others and giving an
encouraging word. Giving God some Praise through her pain! One of her favorite
scripture was Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me. Bonita was active as a faithful member serving on the Usher
Board and singing on the choir before her illness finally took its toll.
Bonita leaves behind to carry her legacy daughters Hope Goodman and
Sharonda Lewis. Her parents Lucille Garnett-Spears, stepfather Phillip Spears; two
grandsons Christopher and Keyshawn Hailey; two granddaughters Courtney and
Kelsey Craft; four sisters Monica Costello, Annette Garnett, Pandora Johnson, and
Sharon Rice; two stepsisters Jeanette Spears, Katherine Tarleton; one brother
Junal Garnett, one sister-in-law Angela Garnett, three brother-in-law Larry Costello,
Ralph Johnson, and Anthony Rice; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
other family and friends.
She joins in peace her two sisters that proceeded her in death Angela Dixon-
Tilghman and Alvenus Deaver.
