Marlowe M. Taylor

February 10, 1956 ~ June 7, 2019 (age 63)

Marlowe M. Taylor, son of Ethel Atkins and the late Charles
Taylor, was born on February 10, 1956. On Friday June 7,
2019 the spirit of the Lord whispered "Peace Be Still" to one
of his most faithful servants and Marlowe entered into eternal

Marlowe received his education in Baltimore City Public
Schools. In 1985 he gave his life to Christ and his life was
forever changed. Marlowe was a dedicated employee of the
Motor Vehicle Administration for more than twelve years.
MY A wasn't simply a place of employment for him; they
were truly his work family. Marlowe was a faithful member
of Dorcas Freewill Baptist Church from 2012 until the day the
Lord called him home. He was a devoted servant and served
diligently in any capacity needed.

On June 12, 2002, Marlowe married the love of his life,
Melva Taylor. They enjoyed traveling together and spending
time with family and friends.

Marlowe was a true definition of a family man. Spending time
with the people he loved was important to him. He shared a
special bond with his great-granddaughter Maddison, for
whom he called "The little one". He made every day a happy
occasion and was truly ajoy to be around. To know him, was
to love him. Always aiming to please, never to disappoint. His
words of encouragement and infectious laughter will truly be
missed. The impact he had on those he came in contact with
is immeasurable.

Marlowe was a sports fanatic! He enjoyed watching his
favorite teams such as the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ra-
vens and the Golden State Warriors. Marlowe had a passion
for helping others and worked various side jobs which includ-
ed painting. He was most committed to the work he per-
formed at the church and did so without hesitation. Marlowe
did it all from opening the church doors, cleaning the church

to standing on his post every Sunday.

Marlowe was preceded in death by his brothers, Tyrone and
Derrick Taylor, stepfather, Thomas Atkins and as they say it,
"man's best friend", his dog, Obama. He leaves to cherish his
memory, his devoted wife, Melva; his loving mother, Ethel;
mother-in-law, Holmszella; children, Stacey, Malinda, Natalie
and J arod; siblings, Eugene, Charlene, twin sister Darlowe .
(Ronald), Cindy, Sandra, Tynita, Gerard, Charnaka, Ralph,
Virgie; one brother in law, Melvin (Caroline); one sister in law,
Kim (Vic) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
