Ora Mae Griffin beloved daughter of the late Roland Griffin and Ora Louise Griffin was born on February 18, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday June 24, 2020.
Ora Mae also known as "Mae" and "Griff" was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She was very intelligent, independent and strong willed.
Ora Mae grew up in West Baltimore on a small street known as Salem Street. She met people whom became her lifelong friends. During her residency there she raised her five children as well as her grandchildren in which she created an unbreakable bond with her granddaughter, Shamia and her great grandson, Chase. She loved her family and gave most of them their unique nicknames: Peanut, Moochie, Cookie, Stinky, Poochie Pie, Wink Wink. If she didn't know your name, she had no problem giving you one.
In her free time Ora Mae loved to drink her cold Pepsi, shop at thrift stores, play cards with her friends and travel to the casinos to play her favorite slot machines. She also had a love for the lottery and those scratch-offs; overall, she loved to gamble. Ora Mae had a love for sports, but she had no love for the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. Even though she was a hometown girl she had no problem in expressing her feelngss towards them. Her favorite fine was "they cheat." She was loved by all and had love for everyone. Her heart was bigger than her body. Ora Mae had such a great spirit that touched everyone she encountered. 'We have countless memories to cherish of happy times. She will be dearly missed.
