Rosetta Lawhorn was born September 9, 1936 in Georgetown South Carolina to
the late Catherine and Fred Lawhorn. Rosetta was the fourth child of 14 siblings
and received her education from Georgetown Public Schools.
Rosetta moved to Baltimorein 1957 along with her sister Leola. She worked as
a Nursing Assistant for Key Circle Nursing Home until it closed in 1992.
Rosetta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who
knew her. Rosetta was naturally funny and spoke her mind no matter what. She
enjoyed spending time with family especially on holidays.
Rosetta loved and adored her friend and confidant General Bowie who took very
good care of her during her long and lengthy illness.
Rosetta leaves to mourn: one daughter, Violet Richardson, son-n-law Larry
Richardson, son Ray Bowie and husband Jessie Overton preceded her death;
seven sisters, Leola from Baltimore, MD, Mary Ann, Betty, and Trinne from
Rochester N.Y., Earlene, from Brooklyn, N. Y., Nora and Lilly from George-
town, S. C., six brothers; Harold, David and Edward from Rochester, N. Y.;
Henry Ellis, James and Fred Jr. Who also preceded her in death from George-
town, S. C.; three grandchildren: Lakesha Richardson, Larry Richardson Jr. (wife
Tiffany) and Tierra Nicole Word; seven great grandchildren and one on the way,
Emani Lee, Lanayia Lee, Dorian Lee, Ashanti Richardson, Larry Richardson III,
Caden Richardson, and Micha Richardson; two great-great grandchildren, Tailia
Johnson and Zachary Ray Word; devoted friend General Bowie and a host of
nieces, nephews, friends and relatives, ,
